It's time to pull out the camera and get some pics of your tanks, fish and other aquatic beasties!
Announcing the GAB monthly Aquatic Photo Contest!
Starting on the 1st of each month, you can submit a photo for the contest
by emailing the following things to photocontest@thegab.org:
1) your image in as high a resolution as possible, attached to the email or a link to the image if you have it online somewhere already
2) your GAB username
3) a caption for your photo (this can be descriptive or humorous, anything you like)
The deadline for submitting pictures is the 15th of each month.
During the second two weeks of each month, photos will be displayed anonymously for voting. The winning picture will be announced the first of the next month.
The monthly winners will be featured on the 2008 GAB calendar and on other GAB merchandise from our Cafe Press shop. Proceeds from sales will help support GAB!
Rules about photo submission :
- photo should be taken by the person submitting the photo
- one entry per GAB member per month
- member must be an established GAB forum member with a minimum of 25 forum posts
- photo should be taken at as high of a resolution/size as possible
- photos entered become property of GAB, however, there are no restrictions on how the original photographer can use his or her pictures
Digital artwork is also welcome as long as a photograph is the base of the work (photomanipulation, for instance).
Please remember to include a short caption with your entry!
In case of disputes regarding entries, winners and deadlines, the GAB Administrators reserve the right to make the final decision.
