Wendylove

My name is Marilynn and I am known here at GAB as Wendylove. Wendylove was the name of my first oranda. She is what brought me here to GAB looking for answers as to why she was sick. She was diagnosed with PKD [polycystic kidney disease] and sadly lost her fight in May 2006.

I have been a fish keeper for 35 years. I kept mainly tropicals, bettas, loaches and catfish. For the past 10 years I have been keeping fancy goldfish. Currently I have 17 aquariums and 21 fancy goldfish. I love aquarium plants and have a green thumb in and out of the water. I also keep snails and frogs. My favorite fish is the oranda. Something about those chubby cheeks and the wiggle in the swim is so disarming and charming.

I am a registered nurse which I have found to be quite helpful in taking care of these not so stalwart fancy goldfish. Keeping these fish happy and healthy is a challenging but rewarding hobby.
